Christina Christodoulou

Christina is an Agronomist having graduated from the Agricultural University of Thessaloniki with a focus on Plant Protection and Entomology. Her thesis was dedicated to a Viroid Presence on Local Lemon (Lapithos) and was prepared in collaboration with the Institute of Agricultural Research. Her work was rated with honors. Christina also has a Masters is the Management and Environmental Protection and her graduate thesis is devoted to the effects of Climate Change of Yields for Honey Bees in Cyprus.

For the last years Christina has addressed the public about bees and the environment, in particular to inform through presentations and speeches at events, workshops and also visits to schools throughout Cyprus. She has extensive experience in the field of beekeeping related to all aspects of commercial and hobby beekeeping and is herself a beekeeper.

She has over the years helped many beekeepers throughout Cyprus in matters related to their activities, with visits to their apiaries and production facilities and during the period 2008 to 2014 was the Head Agronomist at the Apiculture Center Cyprus. She has participated in several conferences and workshops involving agricultural veterinarian and environmental issue, and global conferences related to Beekeeping in various countries of the world.

From 2009 until now she has been training beekeeping and since 2012 teaching gardening courses. As a certified trainer by the Ministry of Education, she teaches at Adult Education Centers and MIEEK. She has also participated in many seminars and trainings of the Ministry of Education to develop skills in adult education.

Christina has also written many articles in Cypriot and Greek media relating to beekeeping and agricultural issues.
